Terrell Owens career in Dallas is over.
I must say this one has to be a shocker. Jerry Jones had admittedly denied that he would even consider releasing the drama plaqued all-pro receiver. When I heard Ed Werder (The Voice of Doom) mull about this story as early as late December, I even laughed at it. Randy Galloway of ESPN 103.3 in Dallas has been pleading for the hometown Cows (Galloway's Cowboy translator) to get rid of El Dorado Owens services for years now. I guess he got his wish. It looks like Roy Uno Uno (Roy E.Williams another Galloway reference) will be the Boys number one wideout going into this season and Tony Romo now has a huge monkey off his back. It was only a few short weeks ago during the NBA All-Star Game on TNT, Owens was asked during a timeout what he thinks of the All Star game coming to Texas in the upcoming years. I sat their thinking to myself, we don't even know if Eldo will be back in in Dallas and you're asking him that. Although I never thought Jerry would do it.
ESPN will now have every football analyst known to mankind dissect this one. I see Keyshawn Johnson will now be coming on to comment and then Steven A.Smith. I'm sure we want to hear Keyshawn talk. He's only the biggest Owens hater in the world next to Bill Parcells and Donovan Mcnabb. I could imagine Owens feeling real betrayed right now. It doesn't really matter anymore if he was truly scheming against Tony Romo because now he's gone. It should be interesting to see who wants Owen's services. He's a real talented wide reciever with a lot left. He's still a top 10 wideout and wouldn't it be ironic if the Giants gave him a look being that their looking for a receiver. The Giants claim how they have this squeaky clean image and their above players like T.O. who cause trouble. The Boys better have a plan for this one. They may have saved some cap room and gotten rid of a huge locker-room issue, but they better seriously think about getting another receiver in the draft or free agent market. The draft looks like the most suitable place.
Owens who was once called "The Player," by Bill Parcells is now left in utter disbelief. The man who said,"Getcha Popcorn Ready and I Love Me Some Me," is now looking for another place of work. I'll leave this one for everyone who uses it against me when they say oh you're a Cowboys fan huh. It's so original let me tell you.
I guess Manny Ramirez will step aside and take a backseat to ESPN's true star. Manny had his turn dominating the headlines for over 4 months, now it's time for T.O. to take center stage once again
